WAR ON WASTE
WAR ON WASTE
I will be creating A2 propaganda poster about keeping the area clean by throwing rubbishes in to its right place to take care the earth; specifically about preventing pollution that has dangerous effect to us and to the environment. This will be designed to motivate people with an age of 16-25. My goal is for the people to be more aware, responsible and make changes to prevent pollution.

Here are some requirements included for this task:
-
needs to be A2 sized
-
a pattern
-
text
-
a vector graphic
-
a relevant #hashtag
-
a relevant website url

I'll be posting these posters around my school (Gungahlin College), areas or places where students consume food like in cafeteria/canteen, near the bins and etc because these locations are appropriate and closely connected to the message of the poster i'll make.
BRIEF
RESEARCH
According to my research there are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic scattered in the ocean, 269,000 tons floating on the surface, while some are 4 billion plastic microfibers per square kilometer litters in the deep sea.
There are 100,000 marine creatures who dies every year from plastic entanglement, and also 1 million sea birds dies from plastics. A plastic bags can kill numerous animals because it took so long to shatter, it took between 20-1000 years for a plastic bags to shatter into small pieces but it's still not good because of its toxic chemicals.
In Australia alone uses 6.9 billion of plastic bags every year but most are plastic shopping bags which is 3.6 billion. If you fastened 6.9 billion of plastic bags together end on end they would travel around the world 42.5 times. Australians dump 36,700 tonnes of plastic bags into our landfill every year that equates to 4,000 bags a minute or 230,000 per hour.
So that motivates me to make a poster about pollution, i want them to be more aware what will happen if they keep on doing that, know how to prevent pollution and be more responsible.

CONCEPT 1
I created this poster using Ai which means "Adobe illustrator", I used tools such as paint brush tool, ellipse tool, pen/curvature tool, and I also used some of images from Google. So this is the first poster I made, but for me it didn't end up well and something came up in my mind, so I made a new one.

CONCEPT 2
So this is the second poster that came up in my mind, I created this using Canva and Ai, I used paint brush tools and the text & font style from Ai, the background and earth image from Canva, and some of images are from Google. But I'm struggling making two hands in-between the earth that's why i'm still not contented to the result, so I decided to change the design/idea, and I want to make my design look more realistic.
